Introduction

Sibi Lot covers 9% of the area and 10% of the total estimated population of Baluchistan Province and includes Barkhan, Dera Bugti, Kohlu, Sibi and Ziarat Districts. The areas included in Sibi Lot span from 30o36‘ N to 28o26‘ S and from 70o5‘ E to 67o10‘ W. The Lot shares borders with Dera Ghazi Khan and Rajanpur Districts in the East, Pishin, Loralai and Musakhel Districts in the North, Jaffarabad, Nasirabad and Sibi Districts in the South and Bolan and Mastung Districts in the West.  554 muzas and un-served population of around 453,226 people will benefit from this project.

Following registered bidder submitted its Qualification & Services Proposals on  10th April 2009;

Financial Bid Opening of Technically Qualified Bidders
Following bidder was declared Technically Qualified and its Financial Bid was opened on 9th June 2009. Subsidy requested by the bidder is as follows;

Result
USF Board declined to approve the award of contract to the lowest evaluated bidder i.e. PTCL. Hence this contract was not awarded.
 

Current Status

This rural telecom project will be resized and re-bid in the near future.
