Universal Service Fund Company (USF Co) 60th Board of Directors Meeting was convened on Monday 30th April, 2018 in the conference room of Universal Service Fund, HBL Tower, Islamabad. The Chairperson, Board of Directors, USF Co and the Federal Minister for IT & Telecom; Mrs. Anusha Rahman Khan chaired the meeting. The Federal Minister appreciated the consistent hard work put in by Universal Service fund to bring USF Co.’s Board vision in to reality. The Federal Minister approved the launch of ICT for Girls portal and also directed the USF Management to ensure that the “Girls who code” should be given a prospect through this portal to join any international club under the same umbrella to empower themselves further in the field.

The USF.Co Board also approved the annual budget for USF Co. amounting to 12.7 billion. The Budget approved is in line with the vision of Federal Government. In order to swiftly disseminate the benefits of telecommunication and Broadband services to un-served masses emphasis has been placed on Next Generation Mobile Broadband Services.

Board members including the Secretary IT; Aamir Ashraf Khawaja, Member Telecom; Mr. Mudassar Hussain, Azfar Manzoor; Nominee data Licensee and Kaukab Iqbal; Chairman Consumer Association of Pakistan the senior Management of USF Co also attended the meeting.
