INTRODUCTION

 

This package deals with the provision of Optic Fibre Connectivity to Dasht, Noshki, Dalbandin, Mashkhel and Taftan Tehsil HQs including Dringar, Ahmadwal, Nokundi and Chaghi cities of Balochistan Province. A population of around 335 thousand people residing in 9 Tehsils and towns will benefit from this project with 887 kilometers of Optic Fibre Cable.

Following registered bidders submitted their Qualification & Services Proposals on 30th March 2009;

2.     Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL)
3.     Wateen Telecom Pvt. Ltd.
 
Financial Bid Opening of Technically Qualified Bidders:
 
Following bidders were declared Technically Qualified and their Financial Bids were opened on 23rd April 2009. Subsidy requested by each bidder is as follows;
 
         1.   PTCL                          Pak Rs. 568,000,000 /-
         2.  Wateen                      Pak Rs. 374,000,000 /-
 
Result:
 
M/s Wateen Telecom Pvt. Ltd. was declared as the lowest qualified bidder and contract, worth Pak Rs. 374,000,000 /-, was signed with Wateen on 17th May 2009.
