INTRODUCTION

 

The Balochistan-Package 2 has been launched for bidding to provide Optic Fibre Connectivity to Bela, Pasni, Turbat and Hub Tehsil HQa including Jhal Jao, Awaran, Dureiji, Peerdrk, Dasht, Mehnaz, Buleda, Kalag,Jiwani, Kalatuk, Nodaiz, Hoshab, Nasirabad, Bilecha, Tump, Gwadar, Uthal, Duddar, Kanraj cities. The un-served tehsils have a population of 995,277 and it will benefit from this project with 1,396 kms of Optic Fibre Cable.

Following registered bidders submitted their Qualification & Services Proposals on 8th June 2009;

Financial Bid Opening of Technically Qualified Bidders:
Following bidders were declared Technically Qualified and their Financial Bids were opened on 12th June 2009. Subsidy requested by each bidder is as follows;
 
       1.     PTCL                       Pak Rs. 1,200,000,000/-
       2.    Worldcall                Pak Rs. 3,069,280,000/-
 
Result:
M/s Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited was declared as the lowest qualified bidder and contract, worth Pak Rs. 1,200,000,000/-, was signed with PTCL on 25th June 2009.
