INTRODUCTION

 

Larkana Lot covers 7% of the area and 10% of the total estimated population of Sindh, and includes Jacobabad, Larkana and Shikarpur Districts. This Lot shares borders with Khuzdar and Jhal Magsi Districts in the West, Jaffarabad, Dera Bugti and Rajanpur Districts in the North, Rahim Yar Khan, Ghotki, Sukkur and Khairpur Districts in the East and Naushehro Feroze and Dadu Districts in the South. This lot shares borders with two provinces – Baluchistan in the West and Punjab in the North. Muzas and un-served population of around 165,000 people will benefit from this rural telecom project.

Financial Bid Opening of Technically Qualified Bidders:

Following bidders were declared Technically Qualified and their Financial Bids were opened on 11th May 2009. Subsidy requested by each bidder is as follows;

1. CMPak Pak Rs. 566,111,732/-

2. PTCL Pak Rs. 228,000,000/-

Result: M/s Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited was declared as the lowest qualified bidder and contract, worth Pak Rs. 228,000,000/-, was signed with PTCL on 17th May 2009.
